HCPLive Symposium: Addressing challenges in depression treatment

Thanks to HCPLive, Steve Thayer PhD and Hannah Cross LCSW (both psychedelic therapy experts) and myself had a chance to present at the State of Science Summit addressing challenges in treating depression. I shared some of the lessons I’ve learned after 10+ years working with ketamine for mental health conditions. I also spent some time delving into other psychedelic medicines—that will (fingers crossed) become FDA approved in the next couple of years. I covered the history of antidepressants and psychedelics, pharmacology, and data from recent studies. Feel free to check out my slide deck linked below. You can also take a look at the recap interview. Enjoy!

I think there’s a lot of enthusiasm out there that is great, and it has been opening the door to more education, awareness and access.
