Psychiatric Times: Psychedelics & the future of psychiatry

I recently had an exciting opportunity to author the cover story for Psychiatric Times magazine, a peer-viewed publication focused on clinical practice. It really is an amazing moment in time for the field of psychiatry—psychedelic drugs are gaining mainstream acceptance as a result of the powerful data coming out that demonstrates these medicines are safe and well tolerated by most. When other treatments haven't worked, psychedelics are offering new hope, and these medicines have big implications for the future of psychiatry, including research, education, policy, and most importantly patient quality of life.
